Thanks Marco Given the build a very light coat of Humbrol rattle primer as it was all I could pick up today. Didn’t go on too bad. Now I can see which of the stick on Zim edges need fixing before painting. Also need to grab some Tamiya Dak Yellow as my bottle is a bit old now. Here’s the pic

A bit of advise please fellas Tomorrow I’m going to paint the wheels and tyres. Then the underside of the tank. Question is about the indy track links, I can’t add them to the unpainted wheels as I won’t be able to access the tyres. Should I paint and fit the wheels then try to assemble the tracks so that I can remove them for paint? If so what’s the trick to stop them sticking the sprockets? Cheers

Steve, I have a method to do this, but I don't know if I'll can write all of I do because I don't know if I have enough vocabulary to this. Give me a little time and I'll try...

It really depends on what type of indy tracks you are using. But there are several methods you could try.

Lets try: First I fit the links one by one until they form a flat, straight track. Then I use slow-drying plastic cement at each of the joints and let it dry for 3-5 minutes. With the wheels all in place, tilt the sproket, but not glued, I put the track around them, put the ends together with more glue and shape the track. Again, I let it dry for 6-7 hours and remove the entire set of wheels and track from the hull. As the wheels are already painted, there is no risk of the track attaching to any of them and with a little pressure it is possible to remove the sprocket from the assembly. You must finish this whole process with several wheels and a rigid and ready to be painted track.

What Marco said is good and works well . What I have been doing lately with indi links, or link and length is to glue the tracks, sprockets, idlers and the inner road wheels together and paint as a subsection. First off add all the wheels to the hull without gluing minus the outer wheels. Then add the tracks, and let these set. After they have fully cured, remove the whole track/road wheel section and paint them off the tank. When the rest of the hull has been painted, simply fix the partial running gear back in pace. The last or outer road wheels can be painted and added after everything else is ready . Here's a couple of pics of what I mean.
