Ian, thanks indeed ole chap . As for the camo, well as said I shall do something late war style. Still not too sure with which base colour to go with though . Tommy, appreciated dude . Steve, cheers fella . This should be a Panther G hull, bt has some Panther A parts, the main difference is the proposed Rheinmetal turret with stereoscopic sights . Marco, good to hear you like this and that you're tagging along Okay chaps, the hull is stuck together and only the front needs a touch up . All the welds will need re-making as these are sunken, and should be slightly raised or at least even with the armour plating. I sprayed some primer and hull red on the blanked off engine room compartment, so tomorrow I can add the air fans and PE covers . Oh yes, the insides of the road wheels also got the Hull-red treatment More tomorrow chaps..... hopefully

Wouldn’t be unusual for parts fo be recycled into new AFVs I think a lot of IVs had that sort of update They even did that with FW190A’s into D’s after all. Nice paintage BTW

Cheers Boots . Steve, you're right there ole chap . But I bet if I take this anywhere some turd of a judge would say "that's a G hull, why has it got an A drivers compartment cover? Mmmmh mark it down for that"

Looking good Paul. Good idea painting the wheels still on the runner. I done that last time , and it was a better way of holding them.

Actually Paul, if you had photographic evidence sitting next to it, they can't knock you down for that.... at least here in the Colonies that is the case. I commend you on your excellence in painting as well. Those wheels look amazing. Great minds think alike: I also paint my roadwheels on the sprue.
Pete, they did build one of these vehicles; it was a test bed for the new Rheinmetal turret being developed for the Panther. They were looking to make it smaller and I believe were also testing a new auto loader in that smaller turret. There are unconfirmed reports that one or two of these fought Allied forces when they overran the production/test facility where these were being tested.

Cheers very much chaps . Duke, I thought I had heard that what you said somewhere myself, I just couldn't remember . I think we have to be careful about these not so confirmed statements, that is why I have put this in the "what if / prototype" board. Today I added the rear deck bling , without any probs
