Those fit issues are surprising to hear for a Meng kit . But I reckon you can sort them out later and nobody will be none the wiser

Those fit issues are surprising to hear for a Meng kit . But I reckon you can sort them out later and nobody will be none the wiser My guess so far is that maybe the main turret part was warped, maybe being away from the bench for several months made me do so many mistakes ... , but these are all connected to the base turret part,,, that gap this afternoon was really big... anyway it was dealt with Super Glue

More work,
Great detailing on the plastic parts for the rear basket
As you can see there are a few gaps here and there, as I was putting the top plate when it was aligned with one side there was a gap on another end... I tried other choices, but this was the best option. Wondering with the previous problems on the turret, either the base of the turret was a little warped and caused all these problems on the alignment of the jigsaw turret build, or most likely a human mistake glueing something at the start of the turret with a wrong alignment... anyway, it is what it is, gladly these "Getting back" builds are exactly for these type of things to happen. Not very happy but I will keep on doing this Merky until the end, and probably jump on Mk.II or MkIV..

Thanks for all the support fellas !!!!

It does sound like a warped or misaligned turret base which has put the rest of it out of true. however not insurmountable.

Nice work John! I think the problem can be a engineering problem from Meng.

Adding small parts to the turret, they are scattered between several sprues, I will be patient with these, easy to lose parts . Also been working on the turret basket.

While cleaning up the chains, one of the balls broke off and in MIA....
You really have to be patient and gentle while cutting this piece from the main sprue. The detail is very, very good ( my photo skills don't do justice to this plastic part ).

Maybe a PITA, but better than going etch . The ball and chain does look good, even if the pic is tad fuzzy
