This is coming along very nicely indeed Ian.
Colour looks superb.
The tanks have a really interesting history too such as taking out Lebanese bulldozers that were diverting a river from 2 miles away.

Thank you, Robbo! So for this build I used MIG-0132 "Real IDF Sand Grey." This is a great color for IDF vehicles from the '67 and '73 wars as they had more of a yellowish shade during that time frame. If you have a Merkava, that would be in a different color. The IDF transitioned to a color called "Sinai Grey" in the 80's and then to some different shades from the 90's to the present that have more of an Olive Drab tint to them. AK Interactive actually makes all the IDF colors and differentiates them by decade on the label to assist with picking the right one. Thanks for this I'll look into it when the time arises. Continuing with the IDF theme in this thread, I got the decals applied. Just the usual IDF platoon/company/battalion markings. The decals went down OK but they had to soak for about fifteen minutes before they would come off the paper. I will seal these and then move on to the weathering.  |
