Looking good Paul, the chrome paint is fantastic. Such an odd plane isn't it?

Thank you muchly Guy . Yes this aircraft was way ahead of its generation, and certainly an inspiration for the future. Even if it did take another 22 years to go serious. Saab Viggen was the first real jet aircraft with the canard set up.

That fading brings out those panel lines nicely already. Noice!

Very nice done! And do I see that correct? Was this one also available with German markings? That is a pure "what if" Bert, but the markings are also in the kit. I shall keep them as they very much like Me262 markings

Joe, Boots, Wouts, Ian, thanks muchly for the kind words again fellas . Ian I bet you're right about that . That is why there are two little wheels on the bottom of those struts, the aircraft would be forced nose down instead plowing the runway up with the prop

That’s it, you know when you have had too much to drink? When you can’t even work out which way is the front of the plane!!!!
I’m for my bed!!!!

So today was a tricky day. I tried my trusted method of masking the canopy with tape, but it didn't work. I usually add tape to the glazing and push it into the contours, then cut around these to mask the glass areas. But the contours on this stuff are way too shallow. So I used VMS liquid mask, but I when I removed the stuff it left jagged edges . So I am going to have to try and touch these up with a hairy stick. I have also added a pin wash with Mig Productions P220 dark wash to the landing gear and covers, this has been swiped back and a dry brush of Vallejo Silver 71.063 has been applied.

You hit that greasy, oily look Paul, you're going onwards.

The undercarriage looks rather good, Paul. Masking transparencies is always a tricky job. Yours turned out grand by the looks of it.

Shame about the glazing but the rest looks well smart, was there a shine on the landing parts or did you gloss coat it

With the canopy, try using a toothpick and very gently scrape away the jagged areas.
That’s what I have done in the past.
