Wow, that engine is just ace. Never would have thought that Revell could pull something that great off (don't know why but Revell aren't ranked high on my list for some reason). And those boom boom stick look good too. Keep that Sturmbock rollin' mate, you're doing a grand job.

Thanks so much, gents! I made some more progress and got the wing spar and bulkhead installed. I marked off in red all the holes I had to drill out to accommodate the Sturmbock add-ons. Revell included a very nice feature in that they supply a stiffener plate (the section in RLM 66 over the wing) that keeps the wings at the right angle and also shores up the internal structure. This made assembly very easy. Interesting how the 20mm baddies run right through the wheel bays. I installed the wheel bays and they were painted with RLM02 and treated with a heavy wash of Acryl Black and Pledge Floor Care. Next I installed the MG cradles and the engine mounts. This particular Sturmbock bird has the nose guns removed and the ports faired over so the cradles will remain empty. I than added the engine mounts. The 30mm baddies were also installed in the wings and I had to really enlarge the gun port to get those to fit. Also, I added the bumps on top of the wings for the enlarged 30mm breach blocks. Lastly, I painted the circular piece that goes on the back of the BMW 801 and hit that with a heavy wash. I started work on the pipes and I used the exhaust techniques from our friend the Night Shift for these. There are four sets and I only have one done so far but still have some more work to do.

Wouts: Yes, the 1/32 scale Revell of Germany Luftwaffe planes are very nice. However, it seems like these kits really go under the radar in the modeling world.

The 1/32 HE-111, JU-88 and FW-190s are really nice but they don't get a lot of attention or if they do some of it seems to be bad press. I have had no issues with the FW and I also built the 32 scale Revell HE-219 several years ago and that was a beautiful model. The FW-190 Dora from RoG is actually a rebox of the Hasegawa bird and it is very nice, as well.

Well, spent all evening working on the pipes for the BMW 801 zoomie-thingie. Thanks goes out to The Night Shift for the awesome exhaust painting technique. I then got the pipes attached so she's ready to go on the engine mount. I think the mounts and alignment pins are all squared up so we should be all set.
