That's what I thought he said pink, very subtle Yes, it's an off white really. The colour was to blend in under cloud cover at low level. The FR mod kept the guns too as they expected to meet the occasional German fighter so needed some form of defense. At least one had the canon removed so that saved me buying metal replacements for the horrible plastic things in the kit.... Result! This would have made the aircraft more manoeuvrable and accelerate faster with less weight to move around. Cheers all for the great comments

Some light oil weathering. Used a ligt grey as less is more here I think so I'm going to give this a few days... Well I'm working away from home so no choice really Final straight now I think, just need to tidy up the paint and decals, then fit the knocky off bits and we're done..maybe.

Here we go then, calling this done. The Revell kit is great for the money, no major fit issues. Undercarriage is not very well detailed and the location of it is a bit vague but other than that for £25 it's a value for money buy. I give to you a 1/32 Spitfire FR.MkIX from somewhere in Normandy late '44. [/url
