Well i`m now back to the slim-line look as in the earlier photo`s but i`ve also removed the rear mudguard, light bezel and rear wheel, the mudguard and light bezel were a pig to get off due to rusted bolt heads and accessability............but it`s done now.

Ok............todays shennanigans.. Headset removed, complete removal of the wiring loom, control levers,regulators........a good couple of hours work i have to say and lots of pics taken of wiring locations...........i will be renewing all the wiring harness and cables when i rebuild
Probably the next job will be the removal of the front forks ready for a complete rebuild of inner shock springs, drop links and bump stops.......only prob is i need special tools to remove some parts and unfortunately i don`t have these at the mo................you can use alternative methods but that can cause unnecessary damage............as i`ve found out from previous work which was obviously done by the previous owner/s......

I am sure you'll manage with removal of the forks Boots. Is there a Lambretta club somewhere near by, that you could ask for the tools?

Bill..........you`ll have to scratch build one in the white stuff Paul...........unfortunately not mucker, they`re not dear to be honest so i`ll bite the bullet and get them...............never know....if i get on alright with this build i might do another so the tools will be available then Jeff..........yeah i was expecting this conundrum

I worked in a GM dealership for 20 years. Every month we got a shipment of "Essential Tools" to help do certain tasks. You had to buy them. If you didn't, they wouldn't ship us any cars or trucks.

I think the term is...`got you over a barrel`, same as modern cars..........i remember when you could simply clean a carb or adjust the points etc but now everything is computor related or has those stupid plastic engine/sump covers on so you are forced to go to a garage or main dealer rather than fix it yaself...........nowdays you can only touch things that are coloured yellow or blue i.e water/oil

I have a feeling that you'll be using lift more than you think Boots . Maybe even as a BBQ and beer barrel table

LOL..........at a 150kg it`s staying put in the garage but i can balance a few beers on there to help with keeping hydrated during progress

You must have sold a kidney or perhaps a lung.............or won the lottery😁. I recall having to use a tool to remove the rear hub.......might be mistaken though. No I won't be scratching one😳!!!!!

LOL...........yeah not far off Bill (except the lottery win part) , as for the rear hub i do have a hub puller which i bought years ago for somat so at least thats one less tool i have to purchase , the lift wasn`t to bad as i got a promo code which took 65.00 off the asking price.

Would also make an awesome bench for all those large scale kits you've been always wanting to build. Just sayin' like.
