Ok fellas............nothing exciting just more cleaning.
The front forks were a right mess, i stripped out all the inner springs/components etc and set about using more bloody elbow grease.......
Before...elbow grease
After....now back to bare metal
And treated with a rust treatment which turns it Black..
Got to weld some small damper brackets on and then ready for our favourite Grey stuff.

I upgraded my forks to SX 200 type by adding brackets and dampers.this required welding and the result was dreadful. Plenty of filing and grinding with a touch of body filler and it looked great😀. That welding lark is harder than it looks.

Cheers Paul and Bill To be honest Bill...........i just went for it , i looked at the factory welds and thought....can`t do any worse , i didn`t have any clean practice metal to hand so i used this as a test piece, took me a little while to get the hang of it but it`s not somat thats gonna be seen ........as long as it don`t fall off by the morning i`ll be happy with that
