Should hopefully get the frame in this week for sand blasting and powder coat.............opted for Chrome silver, they`ve quoted me £250 which i didn`t think was too bad and a 3-5 day turnover

Well..........it`s in the workshop undergoing it`s make-over........won`t be back till next week , in the meantime i can`t really do much, i need to weld the shock/damper brackets but i can`t do that until i buy the new parts for the forks as i need the shocks to line everything up straight...........unfortunately i`m at this months spending limit ......i think!!
Dangerous hobby these retoration projects!!

Restoration always costs more than first budgeted. When I restored my '73 750 Bonneville I met a guy who had recently done the same thing and he reckoned he underestimated by about a third. As it turned out he wasn't far wrong. My restoration of my SX cost £600 approx in 1994. Paint was the most expensive item.
