I got the flat coat applied to the BUFF tonight and I used Dullcote thinned with Testors Metalizer thinner. I will let this cure up tonight and then peel off the window masks and attend to a few more details and she will be done. Best wishes, Ian

On 09.11.2001 the United States was subjected to four coordinated attacks by al-Qaeda resulting in the deaths of 2977 people, 6000 injuries and $10 billion dollars in property damage. Countless more died in the years following as a result of 9/11 induced cancer. On Sunday October 7th, 2001 the United States, along with a Coalition composed of numerous Allied and NATO nations, launched a combined arms assault against al-Qaeda, code-named Operation Enduring Freedom. One of the units that participated in the retaliatory strikes was the 93rd Bomb Squadron, one of the oldest and most decorated bomber squadrons in the USAF. The 93rd was also assigned to the Air Force Reserve Command. In September of 2001 the men and women of the 93rd received their war-tasking order and were subsequently deployed to Diego Garcia where the unit commenced operations against al-Qaeda forces in Afghanistan. One of the aircraft that participated in the strikes was a B-52H, S/N 61-0022, call-sign "Scalp". The aircraft carried 9/11-NYPD nose art to memorialize those lost at Ground Zero and rendered close-air-support with precision guided munitions during the OEF strikes. This build depicts that aircraft, utilizing the B-52H offering from Minicraft and the new Cartograf decals included in the kit for the OEF B-52s. The kit was updated with the new antennae suite to depict the B-52 as it appeared at the time of the OEF strikes. Vallejo and Model Master paints were used to complete the finish as well. This build is respectfully dedicated to all the victims of the 9.11.2001 terror attacks and to all the men and women from emergency services and combat arms of EVERY nation who have participated in the Global War on Terror. Regards, Ian
