Why did you post CAD images? That's funny Marco!!! Beautiful work, Sniper. And yes, it almost looks like you made CAD images of a new Leopard 1 kit!! Best wishes, Ian

LOL, not CAD just good quality primer Sorted the tracks out last night using VMS track blackener, gave them a burnish then painted the track pads. Tedious but worth it!

Busy boy today, I've now sprayed the turret and wheels etc in the main colour. For this I've used tamiya XF-51 khaki drab as it's a pretty good match for gelboliv seen on the real thing at the time. However I have added a few drops of flat yellow just to lighten it slightly for scale effect. I'll be adding more yellow as I progress which will help me add highlights.

Ohhhhh...........nice work, Sniper. Good call on the color match too. I shot AK Gelboliv out of the bottle on my German M-48 and what you have looks spot on. Really nice work.

Ian

That's cool Pete . I'm surprised that you have painted the turret first, and then started on the hull. Isn't that going to be a tad tricky to get the Gelboliv the same shade?

Cheers Paul, no mate as I have the original shade in a pot for the hull. I wanted to get the tow ropes on the hull first but times ticking away so I'll just get on with it.
