Looks darned fine to me Wouts, and yes I have had the staining happen too. As Joe said, it's best wait a few days before going to these steps, but then again it can also be useful when you want paint dis-colouring

So undercarriage and droptank approved, righto. Thanks guys The drop tank received a coat of VMS varnish (75/25 gloss/satin varnish mixed) and I let that dry for about three days. Then the drop tank was slightly weathered with oils. And then it got fitted to the belly of the plane. I also added the flimsy bit on top of the canopy (I knocked that off at least once when handling the plane, same goes for one of the flimsy bits under the wing). It was painted Vallejo Model Air Grey Green by brush. I also toned down the post shade on the hull rear a bit. One commentary on FB that it was a tad strong. And I think I have to agree. So I toned that down by adding some grey oil paint on top. Might need a little bit more. I also added some more Burnt Umber oil paint on the spinner and streaked it from the center towards the rear. The drop tank is a lot less weathered than the underside of the plane, which makes sense I think since it didn't carry the drop tank all the time. Although I might add a bit more weathering on the fuel tank. The end is near

Gentlemen, your great comments made me smile, and blush a bit as well . Thanks so much. So, I added the last couple of fiddly bits. The red white thingy underneath the left wing (don't know what it's for, if anyone can enlighten me?). It was painted on the sprue with Humbrol 34 matt and when dry the red was done with Vallejo flat red. The round thingy (I think it's for the radio?) on top of the fuselage was glued in place and painted. It was a pain in the bum and I knocked it off today when adding the other bits. Forever lost to the carpet monster . Luckily I had a second pe set. And the other pointy thingy underneath the fuselage behind the wings (also a sort of antenna?) was glued in place and painted with enamel. When the paint has dried out I'll slightly weather them and after that the only thing that needs to be done is adding the wire. Finish line is in sight, whehey

I'm lost for words ole chap I reckon the red and white and the loop thingies are antenna, one to send the other to receive , we'll see what the wing masters Steve, Joe and Ian say later
