Evening all, another quick update on the base progress. I created a base/sealer coat for the dio using a mix of Mod Podge and Ivory Black acrylic paint. I decided to keep the tone more mid-dark grey rather than black. It's the first time I've used Mod Podge and I have to say it works really well in creating a solid barrier on the foam without masking the texture that I made. Enough of the description, here's the pics. Until next time. Cheers Mark

Yes, you're right it should be Defence, but down this neck of the woods they spell it with an S and all google searches show it as an S. Being a Brit I know it's C but it had me doubting it!!!!

Had a relaxing afternoon painting the first step of the cobblestones and part of the pavement section. I had reruns of an old 90's UK drama on the laptop to accompany me and copious amounts of coffee. Not really much else to say other than showing a couple of progress pics. Will hopefully get some time tomorrow to carry on. Until next time. Cheers Mark

What paints are you using? Oils? They're all acrylics. A mix of Vallejo and AK. I'm using 4 key colours per block (road, pavement, flagstones) and then creating tonal variations by mixing them.

Evening all, it's been a productive afternoon of painting and the first step of the process has been completed on the base. Next up is filling in the mortar, followed by washes and a bit of weathering. Cheers Mark
