Well I am waiting for some stuff to dry on the Spitfire. So I decided to have a look around the stash, to find a quicky to fill in 3 weeks time . I have decided on the Tamiya Merkava Mk1, which will be more or less OOB . Well apart from the tracks, and maybe one or two little improvements along the way . This is going to stay an early Mk1 from before 1982, this way I don't need the ball and chain and not even the AS . Anyhooos here's the start for yaz . More soon dudes

Nice one Paul !!
I did that one a couple of years ago, nice simple kit. I think I did a "What-If" version, anyway nice to see you tackle an old Tamyia kit.
Cheers, J.

Ah, it nice to see the usual mob following along . Boots, you're probably right about that , remember we talked about the Scammel and how expensive the AA offering was , then bamm out came the Thunder and IBG ones . Pete, she's going together fine as you said . But I haven't decided on the AS yet . Jeffers, most kind sir . I still got a MkIII with a legend upgrade and the MkIV shelf queen in the stash . The saga isn't over yet . Ian LOL fella , if you rest you rust . John, cheers monsieur , it's nice to get a simple build running now and again . Marco, many thanks to thee also fella . Okay then today I got the open bits blanked off, added some periscopes from the spares box and glued the together . To blank off the sponsons I used some alu-foil which is easier to get into shape and doesn't leave a huge step where you don't need it . More soon fellas, as always AC&CW

Boots, you're probably right about that , remember we talked about the Scammel and how expensive the AA offering was , then bamm out came the Thunder and IBG ones . .........don`t even go there!! .... I`d certainly do another of these if they did a modern day release, look forward to doing the more modern kit of the Trumpy HEMMT to see how they compare

Boots, what's up you don't like scammels . Cheers mushty . Pete, it's the standard wife-making-homemade-xmas-deco stuff . It's 0.2mm thick and cuts and forms very easily . Guy, murky buckets Sir
