Vents can always pose a problem I reckon, the best way I know of to paint the buggers is blast the buggers black and then add a dry brush of the hull colour afterwards .

Thats all i do mate............i use the light sand in the Tamiya weathering kits, i think they`re great. I have a couple of sets and they come with a really soft brush which means you can run a light dry brush over the etch without knocking it off and pick out the detail perfectly, i have the Light Sand/Sand/Mud and Light Grey/Dark Grey/Dark Green..........i only really use the Light ones tho I used the Light Sand over OD on the little Chevy...not just to highlight edges and such like but to add fading etc to panels

That's picked out the vents nicely Paul. You'll love the VMS matt varnish mate it's the best I've used. Funnily enough I have a large amount of stuff on the way from VMS & now use thier pigments etc all the time. The flexy CA is also excellent.

Cheers fellas . Ian I guessed that is what you meant , and yes it wasn't fun at all. These were painted but as you can see the masking went a tad offline . Anyway here's todays doings, a quick homemade pinwash for the recessed areas More on Saturday I do believe
