I've never had any issues with Tamiya paint, IMO they do a great job

I'm assuming we are talking about Tamiya's acrylic? If so then here are 2 tips that you may already know to help with the "Tamiya fuzzies" 1.Remove your needle guard. This will make you spray pattern smaller and wetter, helping the paint lay down and, reduce tip clogging 2. Try some Mr.Colour Leveling Thinner. The stuff is amazing 🙂 Jeff, I like the sound of that advice, I must give that a try

Looking great but judging by the masking story the 'simple easy build' turned out a little bit more tricky then expected 😁 Usually "simple easy builds" are never like that... there's always something unexpected coming along You have so hit the nail on the head

You've captured RAF Night perfectly there Paul B)
I use the pencil method for canopies, it's a technical drawing super fine hard, it almost cuts the mask out as I trace the frame.
I had the Tamiya fuzz on the black stripes Input on the Tempest tonight. I think this is due to the mix being too flat and applied too dry. I slowed the AB movement down and the paint wetted up nicely.

Cheers Steve-o Second colour is on, I used Tamiya again. This was a mix of XF-24 and 25 (Light Sea Grey and Dark Grey). Not sure about it at the moment but I think I'm happy . EDIT It looks very light grey in the pic, but it is in fact a different shade

Joe, Boots, Bert, Ian, thank you chaps , but..... In 2015 I built the Italeri Typhoon, and back then I mixed the Ocean Grey from some paints and was certain I still had some left . I couldn't find find yesterday. Today after looking at the Tiffy again, I wasn't very happy with the grey I had mixed up for yesterdays spraying. The Problem with yesterdays paint mix was the missing blueish tint. After rummaging around my paint stores for 20minutes, I came across a little Revell Aqua container, with a sticker on it reading "Tiffy Blue" . (it wasn't on it's own, there's another reading "Tiffy underside Grey" ) After 8 years of storage it is still alive and very spray-able. Only problem is I haven't got a clue what it's mixed up from . Anyway the second colour is now re-applied and I very happy .
