My supply of Life Color Ocean Grey arrived so I decided to get back on the second Mossie in this project. I applied the first coat of Ocean Grey and I will do a little post shading next. I also worked on the 4000 lb. "Cookie" bomb which is supplied in the Airfix kit. It actually reminds me of a hot water heater but it's probably alot more painful. Happy modeling, Ian

Hats off to you if you’re working with LC. I can’t get that to work for me at all!

Yes, LifeColor Paint can be like a wild horse that won't break. However, once I got the consistencies figured out for airbrushing it's been easier to use. I used their SAC Bomber Tan on the FB-111 and it worked pretty well. Thanks for stopping in!🍺
Best wishes,
Ian

That looks grey-t Ian. That bomb DOES look like a water heater.

Well, I figured it was time to get back on the second Mosquito in this thread. This one is the Airfix 1/48th Mosquito Mk. IV (series II) with the bulged bomb bay and two stage Merlin engines (longer nacelles). I applied a second coat of Life Color Ocean Grey followed by some post-shading. I then added the enamel Model Master RAF Dark Green portion of the camo. Photos showed alot of tight soft-edge camo on RAF Mosquitos so I shot the green with a #1 tip on the Paasche. I will let all this cure up and then start masking for the black undersides. Best wishes, Ian
